I f the hike around the Queyras is one of the most popular hiking routes, it is precisely because it serves the region of Queyras, which is one of the most beautiful in the French Alps. Despite its high altitude it has the pleasant charm of pastoral mountains, with its larch forests flowing water, and meadows at the foot of the rocky escarpments, without the intermediary of the stony slopes which are so hostile to the hiler's feet. It is Engandine in France.
